Orders and Memberships
LiveHow to read purchase, payment, setup, finalization, and badge states in HeartDash.
Orders and memberships are related but separate records. An order tracks the purchase and payment lifecycle. A membership tracks the access, setup, and badge lifecycle that follows.
Order states
- Created. Checkout created a purchase record.
- Payment pending. HeartBadge is waiting for the selected payment method to finish.
- Payment confirmed. The payment was accepted, but release or setup may still remain.
- Protection or settlement window. The order is confirmed but not yet released for final fulfillment.
- Completed. The purchasing workflow has finished.
- Failed, canceled, or reversed. The original payment path did not complete as intended.
Membership states
- Pending. The membership exists but is waiting for payment, release, verification, or setup.
- Action required. Open the membership to complete the displayed step.
- Finalizing. Required member actions may be complete while HeartBadge finishes processing.
- Active. The membership is available for its supported benefits.
- Needs attention. Open the record for an error or recovery instruction.
Badge availability
A payment receipt does not itself create an immediately usable badge. The badge card appears after the applicable membership requirements finish. HeartDash shows whether email verification, security setup, settlement, or another step is still outstanding.
Invoices and receipts
Use the invoice, receipt, or payment reference attached to the order when it is available. ACH orders may also have a Mercury invoice sent to the email used at checkout. Keep the original payment communication together with the HeartDash order record.
Avoid duplicate purchases
Do not create a second order merely because the membership is still pending or a badge has not appeared. Open the existing order and membership records first. Contact support when the displayed status and payment confirmation do not agree.
