Assigning Group Seats

How group administrators issue finalized membership seats to recipients.

After a group order finalizes, an administrator can issue available seats from the Groups area of the dashboard. Assignment connects one available unit from the group order to a recipient invitation; it does not bypass the recipient's email verification or membership setup requirements.

Check that seats are ready

Open the group order and confirm that the dashboard shows seats as available for issuance. If the order is still pending, protected, settling, or under review, wait for the displayed state to change rather than creating another purchase.

Issue a seat

  1. Open the relevant group in the dashboard.
  2. Review the number of available and already issued seats.
  3. Choose the action to issue or assign a seat.
  4. Enter the recipient information requested by the dashboard.
  5. Review the recipient and membership tier before confirming.
  6. Send or copy the invitation using the delivery option shown.

What the recipient must do

The recipient opens the official invitation, enters or confirms the intended email address, and completes the six-digit email-code flow. Additional setup may be required before a Full membership badge becomes available. The recipient should use the same email address throughout the claim process unless the dashboard explicitly permits a change.

Seat states

  • Available. The finalized seat has not been issued.
  • Invited or issued. An invitation has been created for a recipient.
  • Claimed. The recipient has completed the claim step.
  • Finalizing. Required verification, setup, or membership processing remains.
  • Active. The membership requirements are complete.
  • Needs attention. The dashboard shows an error, review, or required action.

Avoid duplicate assignments

Do not issue a second seat merely because an invitation email is delayed. First check the seat status and resend or copy the existing invitation when that action is available. Issuing another seat can consume additional group inventory.
