Buying a Gift

Live

Purchase and deliver a HeartBadge membership for another person or group.

A HeartBadge gift begins as a paid gift order. The recipient receives or is given a claim path, verifies the email they want connected to the membership, and completes any remaining setup before the membership and badge become available.

1. Choose the gift shown in checkout

Select the membership tier and quantity offered by the current gift checkout. Pricing, included benefits, and any purchaser reward are shown before payment and are the source of truth for that order. Do not rely on an old screenshot, message, or previously saved checkout page.

2. Choose a delivery method

Send to one person

Enter the intended recipient's email address. HeartBadge can deliver the claim instructions to that address after the gift order is eligible for delivery. Review the spelling carefully before completing checkout.

Share a claim link

Some gift checkouts provide a claim link that you deliver yourself. Anyone who receives a transferable claim link may be able to use it, so treat it like access to the gift and share it only with the intended recipient.

Gift multiple memberships

For teams, events, or larger distributions, checkout may create multiple gift units or direct you to a group-order flow. The dashboard shows how many units are pending, available to deliver, claimed, or otherwise unavailable.

3. Add recipient details

When the form provides them, add the sender name, recipient email, and a personal message. These fields can become part of the delivery record. Check them before paying because edits may not be available after the order is created.

4. Complete payment

Gift checkout displays the payment methods currently available for the order. Depending on configuration, that can include HandCash, a Mercury ACH invoice, or a supported stablecoin payment. See Payment Methods for the current payment behavior.

A submitted payment does not always make a gift immediately claimable. The order can remain pending while payment confirmation, settlement, a protection window, or another review finishes. Do not pay the same gift order twice while the first payment is still processing.

5. Deliver and track the gift

Open the Gifts area of your dashboard to review the order and each gift unit. Depending on the delivery method and current state, the dashboard can show a recipient, claim link, delivery status, claim status, or remaining quantity. Only share a claim path when the dashboard shows that it is ready.

Purchaser rewards

Some qualifying gift offers include a purchaser or referral reward. When one applies, the amount and requirements are shown in checkout or the gift record. A reward is not earned merely because an order was created or a payment was submitted. It can depend on successful payment, claim, membership finalization, and any applicable protection or eligibility rules.

Revoking or changing a gift

Available actions depend on the gift state. An unclaimed unit may show a revoke or cancel action, while a claimed or finalized gift generally cannot be reassigned through the original link. Revocation does not guarantee an automatic or immediate refund; refund eligibility depends on payment and fulfillment status. Follow the action and status shown in the dashboard.

Large distributions

Use the group or bulk flow when you need controlled seat assignment, administration, or a large quantity of memberships. A public claim link is not a substitute for managed group seats. Contact support@heartbadge.com when the available checkout does not fit the distribution you are planning.
