Privacy and Data

HeartBadge stores the information needed to run your badge, protect your account, and support rewards. We try to keep that list practical and limited.

What HeartBadge stores

• Email address. Used for verification, recovery, and security notifications.
• Badge identifier. Your 20-digit identifier and related badge state.
• Security status. Whether your email is verified, whether you have a passkey, and whether 2FA is enabled.
• Passkey information. HeartBadge stores the public information needed to confirm your passkey. It does not store your face, fingerprint, or device unlock secret.
• Cashout options. If you connect HandCash or add Solana, HeartBadge stores the details needed to send your cashout to the right place.
• Transaction history. Records of rewards earned, sent, received, and cashed out.

What HeartBadge does not store

• Face or fingerprint data. Face ID, fingerprints, and device unlock data stay on your device or with your platform passkey provider.
• Authenticator codes. HeartBadge checks your 6-digit code but does not store the changing codes from your app.
• Card numbers. Payment processing is handled by payment providers. HeartBadge does not store full card numbers.
• Unnecessary tracking. HeartBadge does not create ad profiles or track location outside explicit product flows such as check-ins.

Data shared with programs

Program operators receive the information needed to run their program, such as your badge identifier, qualifying check-ins, and program-specific reward activity. They do not receive your passkey information, authenticator setup, cashout account or wallet details, or unrelated transaction history.

Your rights

• Access. You can request a copy of account data associated with your badge.
• Correction. You can update account details such as your email address, subject to verification.
• Deletion. You can request account data deletion where available. On-chain badge and transaction records cannot be deleted by HeartBadge.
• Portability. You can request exportable formats for supported account data.
